DESCRIPTION:The Republic Day Celebration at Navodaya English High School and Junior College\, Thane\, was observed with great reverence\, patriotic fervour\, and boundless enthusiasm. The entire school was beautifully decorated\, reflecting the spirit of unity\, discipline\, and national pride.\nThe programme commenced with a warm and graceful welcome speech\, which set the tone for the day and extended heartfelt greetings to the dignitaries\, ladies wing\,youth wing\,teachers \,nonteaching staff and students. This was followed by the solemn and proud moment of unfurling the National Flag by the President of Navodaya Kannada Seva Sangha and the Chairman of Navodaya English High School and Junior College Shri. Dayanand Shetty Sir.As the Tricolour flag fluttered high in the sky\, the atmosphere resonated with the echo of the National Anthem\, filling every heart with patriotism.\nThereafter\, inspiring speeches by students were delivered\, highlighting the values of freedom\, democracy\, and responsibility. Their confident expressions and thoughtful words reflected their deep love for the nation.\nThe programme was further enriched by the enlightening address of Mrs. Kusuma Salian Madam\, Headmistress of the Primary Section and this  was followed by the motivating speech of Dr. Latha Murali Madam\, Headmistress of Navodaya English High School and Junior College.\nThe audience was deeply inspired by the speech of the Honorary General Secretary of Navodaya Kannada Seva Sangha and the Administrator of Navodaya English High School & Junior College Shri Shashidhar Shetty Sir who appreciated the speeches of the students as well as gave an inspirational message through a story to soar high in your life.\nThe Presidential Address added further dignity to the occasion and also stressed on the importance of quality education.\nThe cultural segment added colour and charm to the celebration. A mesmerizing group dance performed by students from Standards III \,VIII and XI showcased harmony\, coordination\, and creativity. The melodious group song rendered by the students of Standard IX filled the atmosphere with patriotic zeal. The programme concluded with a delightful musical fusion\, which blended rhythm\, melody\, and emotion\, leaving the audience spellbound.\nThe Republic Day celebration was a perfect blend of patriotism\, discipline\, and cultural richness. It strengthened the spirit of unity and instilled in every student a renewed sense of pride in being an Indian. The event concluded with a vote of thanks\, marking yet another memorable milestone in the glorious journey of Navodaya.

The Headmistress of the Institution\, Dr. Latha Murali\, warmly welcomed the gathering and presented the Annual Report\, highlighting the school’s academic achievements\, co-curricular excellence\, sports accomplishments\, and community initiatives during the academic year. \nThe function was graced by the august presence of the Hon. President of Navodaya Kannada Seva Sangha and Chairman of Navodaya English High School & Junior College\, Shri Dayanand Shetty.\nA major highlight of the ceremony was the Torch Lighting Ritual\, symbolizing courage\, integrity\, and the spirit of sportsmanship. The torch was carried by outstanding sportspersons from Classes V to XII\, and the cauldron was lit by the Guest of Honour\, Hon. IX and X presented a combined demonstration of Yoga\, Human Pyramid\, Gymnastics\, and Mallakhamb\, showcasing strength\, balance\, flexibility\, and teamwork\, which delighted the entire audience.\nHon. President Shri Dayanand Shetty addressed the gathering and officially declared the Annual Sports Meet Open. DESCRIPTION:A Drop of Life\, A Ripple of Humanity \nNavodaya’s 5th Annual Blood Donation Drive 2025\nThane\, 5th October 2025\nBy Student Reporter \n“Nothing could be more satisfying and heart-warming than to help a person live more.” These heartfelt words from the Management of Navodaya Kannada Seva Sangha perfectly captured the spirit of Navodaya’s 5th Annual Blood Donation Drive\, held on 5th October 2025 at Navodaya English High School & Junior College\, Thane. \nThe noble initiative was graced by Shri Dayanand Shetty\, Honourable President of Navodaya Kannada Seva Sangha and Chairman of Navodaya English High School & Junior College\, and Shri Shashidar Shetty\, Honorary General Secretary and Administrator of the institution\, under the expert guidance of Dr. Satyaprakash Shetty\, President of the Association of Bunts Doctors. \nOnce announced\, the drive received an overwhelming response. Parents\, teachers\, students\, and local residents came forward with a shared purpose — to save lives through the gift of blood. The school campus\, usually alive with academic and cultural activities\, transformed into a hub of compassion and service. \nColourful posters\, thought-provoking artwork\, and a creative exhibition highlighted the importance of blood donation. The atmosphere was filled with enthusiasm\, empathy\, and the joy of giving. \nThe organizing team ensured that every donor had a comfortable and safe experience — from warm welcomes and hygienic medical setups to refreshments and thoughtful tokens of appreciation.
