Teachers are a vital part of our lives; their teachings remain as a memory with us till we die. It is they who have held our hands and have helped us become what we are and which profession we choose for ourselves.
Teaching has been considered the most noble profession on the planet. Teaching school children is the noblest of them all. Aristotle once said, ‘Those who teach children are more to be honoured than those who produce them.’
Teachers who put relationships first don’t just have students for one year. They have students who view them as “their” teacher for life. A good education can change anyone. A good teacher can change everything.
Every child deserves a champion – an adult who will never give up on them, who understands the power of connection, and insists that they become the best that they can possibly be.
They may forget what you said, but they will not forget how you made them feel. Great teachers focus not on compliance, but on connections and relationships
Teachers, I believe, are the most responsible and important members of society because their professional efforts affect the fate of the earth. A good teacher can inspire hope, ignite the imagination, and instill a love of learning. The average teacher explains complexity; the gifted teacher reveals simplicity.
Children are like wet cement, whatever falls on them makes an impression. “A gifted teacher is not only prepared to meet the needs of today’s child, but is also prepared to foresee the hopes and dreams in every child’s future.
“Every child deserves a champion – an adult who will never give up on them, who understands the power of connection, and insists that they become the best that they can possibly be. One mark of a great educator is the ability to lead students out to new places where even the educator has never been.
What all good teachers have in common, however, is that they set high standards for their students and do not settle for anything less.
