Navodaya English High School & Junior College, Thane, celebrated its 56th Annual Day 2025–26 with splendour, creativity, and cultural vibrancy at the prestigious Kashinath Ghanekar Sabhagruh, Thane. The programme witnessed an enthusiastic gathering of dignitaries, parents, teachers, students, and well-wishers, creating an atmosphere of joy and celebration.

The programme commenced with the invocation and lighting of the ceremonial lamp, symbolising knowledge, wisdom, and auspicious beginnings. The Headmistress of the Institution, Dr. Latha Murali, warmly welcomed the gathering and presented the Annual Report, highlighting the school’s academic achievements, co-curricular excellence, sports accomplishments, and community initiatives during the academic year.

The function was graced by the august presence of the Hon. President of Navodaya Kannada Seva Sangha and Chairman of Navodaya English High School & Junior College, Shri Dayanand Shetty, along with the Guest of Honour, Hon. General Secretary of Navodaya Kannada Seva Sangha and Administrator, Shri Shashidhar Shetty, and other respected members of the management committee.

A major highlight of the evening was the colourful cultural extravaganza presented by the students from Std. Nursery to XII, showcasing their immense talent, confidence, and creativity. The programme included a delightful blend of classical and folk dances, thematic group performances, skits, mime, music, and contemporary dance forms, each reflecting values of unity, patriotism, social responsibility, and cultural heritage.

Special thematic performances beautifully portrayed Indian traditions, social harmony, environmental awareness, women empowerment, national pride, and moral values, leaving the audience mesmerised. The flawless coordination, expressive performances, vibrant costumes, and soulful music earned thunderous applause from the audience.

The Prize Distribution Ceremony formed an integral part of the Annual Day celebration. Students who excelled in Academics, Proficiency, Golden Student category, and Scholarships were felicitated with certificates and trophies, recognising their dedication, perseverance, and outstanding achievements. Parents beamed with pride as their children were honoured on stage.

Addressing the gathering, Hon. President Shri Dayanand Shetty congratulated the students and staff for their remarkable achievements and encouraged the young learners to pursue excellence with discipline, values, and confidence. The dignitaries appreciated the relentless efforts of the management, teachers, and support staff in nurturing well-rounded individuals.

The programme concluded with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks, expressing gratitude to the management, dignitaries, parents, teachers, non-teaching staff, volunteers, and students for their wholehearted support and cooperation. The evening ended on a high note with the School Anthem, echoing pride, unity, and the spirit of Navodaya.
