Leaders become great not because of their power but because of their ability to empower others.

Times are changing and these time demand a different you every time. Creating a short term and long term plans based on the 21st century vision will help take the institution to greater heights. Being 100% committed and dedicated to the achievement of the school improvement goals. Never give up should be the attitude. John Dewey had rightly said if we teach today’s students as we taught yesterday, we rob them of tomorrow. The possibilities and opportunities in this growing world are endless. We need to adopt it willingly by having a growth mindset.

I believe in seeking and sharing information and knowledge openly. Communicate, collaborate and stay connected to learn and to grow. In this pandemic scenario connecting with the global educators has become very convenient, all thanks to the digital world. I stongly recommend and also present a positive, proactive and a caring approach while being with students, teachers, parents and my fellow counterparts. This helps me in getting to know them better to understand them better and to communicate effectively. One needs to be able to maintain a good routine, be it health, diet or exercise, personally to be able to conduct oneself well professionally. Listen to the voice within you; it comes from a wise and good place.

I am very warm and approachable irrespective of the post or the position. I believe as a leader one should be a good listener to be able to lead your team well. As a leader we will be faced with difficult situations. In these situations, always stay calm and confident to maintain morale and confidence in the school community. I Ensure my focus always returns to our strategic goals. The key objective is to keep everyone working and moving ahead at the same time knowing yourself well as well as your values. Nurturing honesty and integrity is the key to lead well. If you make a mistake, admit it, take responsibility for it, resolve it and learn from it. Always uphold your word and your promises. Listen to your teachers and students. Learn their talents, interests and passions and then delegate accordingly. Empower them to take responsibility for tasks and projects. Be there to coach them and make sure you praise them for what they achieve.

A global leader Should be willing to interact with people from different departments. An effective leader is a well networked leader. A global leader needs to be an inclusive leader who cherishes feedback and ideas, especially from those who hold a variety of point of view different from his or her own. A leader with a full understanding of an institutions capabilities, and future direction, as well as the knowledge and sensitivity to act on the global stage, will make the greatest impact.

The ability to think outside the box is powerful. Creativity and innovation are great ways to manage the disruptions and complexities of the 21st Century. Empower students and teachers to be resourceful, flexible, creative, to think like entrepreneurs and develop global partners and resources to succeed in our ever-changing world.

Be inspiring! Address teachers, students and parents with speeches about noble 21st century educational possibilities, highlighting the school’s vision and mission. Create an enthusiasm and optimism to work together in creating future directions for the school.

Leadership is about vision and responsibility not power !!
